The mission of the Escambia County Alabama
Transit System is to service
the citizens of Escambia County Alabama by providing transportation to
all, especially the elderly and the handicapped. ECATS was established
in 1995 and since that time we have been on a mission to make the
Escambia County Alabama Transit System a program that the County can be
proud of by making it financially sound, keeping the equipment in order
and most of all serving the transportation needs of Escambia County.
We recognize that mobility is an essential need for our community to
maintain a high quality of life. ECATS. staff strives to provide safe
and customer-friendly service in a manner consistent with our
stewardship of the communities. trust and resources.

Area to be serviced is Escambia County in Southwest Alabama
ECATS Service Hours
All routes are Monday through Friday
Brewton /Atmore Local: This route begins at 7:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. this a demand response route that goes from curb to curb. Clients
must call 24 hours in advance to schedule service. Passengers are allows
two trips for three dollars.
Brewton/Atmore Dialysis Route: This route runs Monday through
Friday of each week. It begins at 6:00 a.m. and covers all of Escambia
County. These patients are delivered to the dialysis center for
treatment and returned to their homes afterwards.
Medical Route: This route begins at 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This
route services the sick and handicap for citizens of the Escambia County
Alabama.
Flomaton Area: Local and demand response is available when
needed.
Southwest Alabama Mental Health route provides transportation for
children with certain mental disabilities Monday through Friday from
6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Brewton/Atmore Meal Site Route provides transportation for senior
citizens to and from the sail site for lunch Monday through Friday.
Standard Furniture is a van pool route which provides
transportation to work for Standard Furniture employees. This route
begins at 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
